The media center is dedicated to teaching the skills and providing the resources necessary for meeting the informational needs of students and staff. Our vision is to create a space where students and teachers can collaborate, be enthusiastic readers, critical thinkers, skilled researchers, and ethical information users. Check out: 100 Search Engines for research as well as fun. AISN also suggests: The British Museum, The Louvre Museum in Abu Dhabi, The Claire Oliver Gallery, Teacher’s Corner and Parent Corner.

Currently, AISN Library has 12,151 volumes of books in inventory, including textbooks. Since 2023-24, over 5000 volumes have been added.

Whether you are embarking on your reading adventure, or using a textbook to study, the library has just under 10,000 books to assist in your learning process.  AISN is committed to upgrading its ebook collection as well.  There are online book resources and quality databases that we invested in to provide classroom support for learning.  We support ALEK’s for math, ixl.com, and the Washington Post, and are considering additional tools like Britannica, BrainPop, CultureGrams, PebbleGo, and Gale Resources.

Here are some fun facts for the 2025-26 School year as of April 2026:

  • 1,938 books have been checked out so far this 2025-26 School Year (April 2026). That is an increase of 20% more than last year at this time!
  • Ms. Lisa's 4th & 5th graders have checked out 754 books so far this year (April 2026)! Wow!

Our library material represents people of diverse backgrounds, characters with a variety of real-world issues, and authors and illustrators who represent an international community. When a student enters the AISN library, they can find books that mirror their personal stories as well as books that provide windows into new situations and worlds. There are hundreds of award-winning books and authors to delight and intrigue our students, as well as our staff.
